Recipe Peanut Brittle Candy Amish Recipes

Cook sugar, water and syrup until hard ball forms in cold water or it threads (soft ball on candy thermometer). Add peanuts, butter and vanilla. Cook until golden brown (soft crack). Stir occasionally. Add baking soda. Stir well and pour quickly into buttered pans. Break in pieces when cool.

2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. King syrup
1½ c. blanched peanuts
1 t. butter
1 t. vanilla
2 t. baking soda
