Amish Cake

Preheat oven to 375° F. Cream butter and brown sugar. Add buttermilk, soda, flour and vanilla. Bake for about 30 minutes.

Topping:
Mix above ingredients and spread over cake. Return cake to oven and bake until topping is bubbly.

1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar (packed)
2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
2 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping:
6 Tbsp. soft butter
4 Tbsp. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts
