Recipe | Checker Board Cake Dessert

Use three 8" round pans or one 10" x 13" pan. Pour white batter in pan. Pour chocolate batter on top and marbleize with knife. Bake at 350° F. for 40 approx. minutes, or until it tests done.

White Batter:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. water
2 c. pastry flour
1 t. vanilla
4 egg whites, beaten with 1/4 c. white sugar
Chocolate Batter:
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. water
4 egg yolks
2 c. pastry flour
2 t. baking powder
2 T. cocoa
1 t. vanilla
