Cocoa Chiffon Cake
Mix
boiling water and cocoa, stir until smooth. Cool Sift dry ingredients
into a bowl. Make a well and add oil, egg yolks, cooled cocoa mixture,
vanilla and coloring. Beat with spoon until smooth or with electric
mixer 1 minute at medium speed. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar
until whites form very stiff peaks. Pour into ungreased 9 inch square or
10" x 4" round tube pan. Bake at 350° F. for 55 minutes.
Invert pan over neck of funnel or bottle.
