Pound Cake

Preheat oven to 300° F. Cream butter and sugar. Add milk and vanilla. Blend well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Beat thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each one. Pour into well greased loaf pan. Bake for 0ne hour and 25 minutes. Serve with sauce or butter.

2/3 c. butter
1¼ c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs
