Seven-Minute Frosting

Combine egg whites, sugar, water and corn syrup in the top of double boiler. Mix thoroughly Place over rapidly boiling water and beat constantly with rotary beater until mixture will hold a peak. This requires approximately 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread.

2 egg whites - unbeaten
1½ c. granulated sugar
5 Tbsp. cold water
1 tsp. corn syrup
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
