Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies

Beat together butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour, soda and cinnamon. Fold in oats and chocolate chips. Chill for 1 hour. Shape dough in 1" balls. Flatten each cookie slightly. Bake at 350° F. for 10 -12 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.

1½ cups sifted all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1½ cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup chocolate chips
