Recipe Butterscotch Fudge Bars Amish Recipes

Melt butter and chocolate. Remove from heat; stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Cool to lukewarm. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into chocolate mixture until blended. Stir in chips. Spread in a greased 9" square baking pan. Bake at 350° F. for 22-27 minutes or until toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

1/2 c. butter
1 square (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
dash of salt
1 c. butterscotch chips
