Butterscotch Tartie
Beat egg
yolks, add sugar and baking powder. Beat egg whites until stiff then
fold in crumbs and nuts. Pour in 2" x 9" pan lined with wax
paper. Bake at 325° F. for 30 minutes or until done. Cool. Turn pan
upside down, take wax paper off and cut in small squares. Layer with
sauce.
Sauce:
Melt butter in a saucepan. Blend in brown sugar, water, flour, egg,
orange juice and vanilla. Cool until thickened. Can be put in layers
like date pudding with whipped cream or topping.

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chopped nuts
Sauce:
1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon flour
1 egg, well beaten
1/4 cup orange juice or a nip of orange flavor
vanilla
