Frosted Cream Bars

Cream sugar and shortening then add remaining ingredients. Mix and spread dough in thin layer on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° F. for 20-25 minutes. Frost with your favorite frosting. A good spicy cookie

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark molasses
4 cups flour (or less)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup nuts
