Oatmeal Sugar Cookies

Cream shortening, brown sugar and white sugar. Add eggs, vinegar and vanilla, mix well. Stir in dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add chocolate chips and nuts. drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° F for 9-11 minutes.

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
4 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla
nuts if desired
1/3 c. milk
2 c. oatmeal
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1½ tsp. soda
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
