Pineapple Torte Amish Recipes

Mix first 5 ingredients and put in a greased 9" x 13" pan. Bake at 350° F. for 1/2 hour. Don't over-bake. Cool. Top with cream cheese and clear jel, sugar and lemon jello to taste. Mix with pineapple and put on the very top. Keep it a little tart. Chill before serving.

6 egg whites, beaten stiff
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1½ cups nuts
56 Ritz crackers, crushed
8 oz. cream cheese
16 oz. Cool Whip
