Raisin Puffs

Boil raisins in water until all the water is absorbed. Cool and set aside. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Mix well. Add raisins and refrigerate for a few hours. Roll into balls the size of a walnut and roll in sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350° F. until very light brown.

1½ c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. margarine
1½ c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp soda
3 eggs
3½ c. flour
