Spicy Honey Cookies

Cream sugar, shortening, egg and honey. Add dry ingredients and milk. Mix well.
Form dough into small balls. Dip one side in 3 Tbsp. milk and then sugar. Place on cookie sheet, sugar side up. Bake at 350° F for 12-15 minutes.

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/4 c. honey
2½ c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
