Oven-Baked Caramel Apples

   Core and pare apples, then arrange in a greased baking dish. In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and flour. Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture is caramelized. Add water; bring mixture to a boil. Continue boiling until thick. Pour mixture over apples and bake at 350° until apples are still firm, but tender. Place 1 large marshmallow in center of each apple. Continue baking until marshmallow is lightly browned. Serve hot with whipped cream and chopped nuts. 10 apples
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 cup water
