Banana Split Dessert

Cover bottom of an 11" x 15" pan with graham cracker crust made from last 3 ingredients. Reserve 1 cup of crumbs. Slice bananas crosswise and layer over crust. Slice ice cream in 1/2" slices and place over bananas. Sprinkle chopped nuts over ice cream. Drizzle chocolate syrup over nuts. Spread Cool Whip over chocolate and top with crumbs. Store in freezer; remove about 10 minutes before serving.

4 bananas
1/2 gallon ice cream
1 cup chopped walnuts, optional
1 cup chocolate syrup or chocolate fudge syrup
8 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 lb. graham crackers
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
