Frozen Dessert

Crush cookies and spread in bottom of pan, saving some for top. Cream the butter and powdered sugar. Add egg yolks, melted chocolate and nuts. Beat until fluffy. Stir in beaten egg whites and vanilla. Spread over the crumbs. Put ice cream evenly over this. sprinkle some cookie crumbs over the top. Place in freezer until ready to serve. Have the ice cream soft.

1 box vanilla wafers
1 stick butter
2 C. powdered sugar
2 squares melted chocolate or 2 oz. chocolate chips
2 egg yolks, well beaten
2 egg whites, well beaten
1/2 C. nuts
1 t. vanilla
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
