Recipe Chocolate Angel Strata Pie Amish Recipes

Beat egg whites with vinegar, cinnamon, and salt. Add sugar. Spread on bottom and up sides of unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350° F. for 15-18 minutes or until done. This usually is puffed up, but will go down. I usually put unbaked pie shell in toaster to brown before I put egg whites in. For chocolate filling, add egg yolks and water to melted chocolate chips. Spread 3 T. over pie shell and egg whites. Chill remainder. Beat topping and cinnamon until very thick. Spread half over chocolate. Combine remaining topping with chocolate mixture. Spread over topping layer. Put dollops of topping on top if desired. Chill for 4 hours.

2 egg whites
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. cinnamon, optional
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 t. vinegar
Chocolate Cream Filling:
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips, melted
1 c. Rich's topping
1/4 c. water
1/8 t. cinnamon, optional
