Pineapple Cream Pie

  Beat the 3 egg yolks and 1 whole egg. Add sugar, cornstarch and cream. Mix well. Add pineapple, vanilla, salt and hot milk. Mix well and fold in egg whites (beaten stiff). Put in 2 unbaked pie shells. Bake for 10 minutes at 375° F. Reduce to 350° F for 30 minutes or until done. 4 eggs (save 3 egg whites)
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1¼ cups crushed pineapple
2½ cups milk, scalded
