Wedding Date Pudding and Sauce
Pour
boiling water over dates and butter. Cool: add rest of ingredients. Use
large foil pans. Make a double batch for one pan. Cut, 24 blocks to 1
pan.
Sauce:
Boil first four ingredients together a few minutes. Mix
last four ingredients and add to boiling part. Use 1/4 c. sauce for each
block of date pudding. Use one batch sauce for one large foil pan.
Sprinkle crushed Heath bars on top.

1 c. boiling water
1 T. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. Thesco flour
1 t. vanilla
1/4 c. nuts, optional
Date Pudding Sauce:
1/2 c. butter, browned
3 c. brown sugar
3 c. water
1/4 t. salt
1½ c. water
3/4 c. clear jel
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. maple flavoring
