Saucy Winter Casserole Dinner Recipe Amish Cooking Main Course Recipes

Combine bacon and onion in skillet. Fry until bacon is crisp and onion is soft. Drain off extra fat. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, syrup, salt, paprika, water and tomato sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add wieners and simmer until they are hot. Blend cornstarch with 2 Tbsp. water, stir into the sauce and boil one minute. Serve on hot spaghetti or macaroni.

1/4 lb. bacon, diced
1/2 c. chopped onion
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. Karo
3/4 tsp. salt
cooked macaroni (6-8 servings)
1/4 tsp. paprika
3/4 c. water
1½ c. tomato sauce
1 lb. wieners
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. water
