Recipe Chicken Gravy Amish Recipes

Combine broth, soup base, and garlic salt. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Mix clear jel and flour; add a little milk and stir. Add egg yolk and remaining milk. Gradually stir into hot broth. Return to low heat and continue stirring until thickened.

Yield 5 cups.

4½ c. chicken broth
1½ T. chicken soup base
1/8 t. garlic salt
5 T. clear jel
2 T. flour
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. milk
