Mix clear jel and flour; add a little milk and stir. Add egg yolk and
remaining milk. Gradually stir into hot broth. Return to low heat and
continue stirring until thickened.
Yield 5 cups.

5 T. clear jel
2 T. flour
1 egg yolk
