Dressing or Stuffing Amish Cooking Recipes

Beat eggs; add milk and bread. Let stand till bread is soaked through. Add vegetables, chicken, onion and seasonings. Grease a 9" x 13" loaf pan with butter. Pour mixture in pan and bake at 375° F. till set and browned on top. If using canned dressing mix, use 1 qt.

2 c. milk
4 c. toasted bread, cut in chunks
1/2 c. cubed potatoes, cooked
1/2 c. diced carrots, cooked
1/2 c. finely diced celery
1/2 c. diced, cooked chicken with broth
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
2 t. salt
1 t chicken soup base
1/4 t. pepper
