Garden Salad

  Mix cabbage, carrots, pepper and onions. Pour 1/2 c. cold water over this and chill for 1/2 hour. Soften gelatin in 1/4 c. cold water. Set aside. Mix sugar, vinegar, black pepper and bring to boil. Remove from heat and stir in oil. Drain vegetables, pour on dressing, mix lightly. Store in refrigerator. 8 c. cabbage, shredded
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 carrots, shredded
1 pkg. unflavored gelatin
2/3 c. vinegar
2/3 c. sugar
1½ tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2/3 c. salad oil
3/4 c. cold water
