French Fried Onion Rings

Dissolve bouillon cube or soup base in boiling water and cool. Beat together pancake mix, egg and oil. Add cooled water mixture. Dip onion rings in the liquid mixture, drain a minute and fry them in the heated oil.

1 C. pancake mix
1 egg
1 T. Wesson oil
1 Bouillon cube or 1/2 t. chicken soup base
1/2 C. boiling water
1" oil at 350° F.
peeled and sliced onions
